Kirin OS 1.0.9

This update covers audio measurement and comparison, song documents, and collaborative exchanges.

Screens and audio intake

• The standard interface now uses white stone materials with daylight, sunset, moonlight and seasonal details. Kirin Eye and instrument displays have also been updated.
• Drop adds ripples to the intake area and a dedicated file selection button. It shows file types, recent measurements and the previous measurement of the same file.
• In Works, click measurement values to copy them and inspect changes from the previous Version. Use the up and down keys to select Versions, and switch playback time between elapsed and remaining time.
• Choose the VU reference from −12, −14, −16, −18 or −20 dBFS. Jungle materials and the VU window have been updated, and Settings provides a return to the standard interface.

Works, STAGE and song sheets

• The Works shelf has revised sorting and selection. Works removed from the shelf can be restored.
• Save song structures linked to lyrics and pin a saved revision for a STAGE show. Manual LIVE progression and sharing with viewing devices have been added, with revised restart and shutdown persistence.
• Enter chords, lyrics and repeats in bar charts, or import ChordPro. Open song sheets from saved Works revisions and pinned show revisions.
• Export regular or compact song-sheet PDFs and transfer them through a single-use QR. Saved PDFs are read back independently to verify their contents.
• Source-bound analysis candidates now have explicit inspection and save controls. The new tempo, meter, Key and Chord candidates are still undergoing quality qualification; automatic adoption is disabled.

Reference and delivery to Hypha

• Reference now has Reference songs (B), CHECK (C) and Share tabs. Create B and CHECK sets and rank them for Hypha. Each CHECK set holds up to six items.
• Add audio files to a B set. Unmeasured audio goes through MEASURE and returns to the same set.
• Inspect Cue-level LUFS, True Peak, Spectrum, Balance and automatic sections. Select a chorus candidate as a Cue. When no Cue is set, the default is a chorus candidate or, if none is found, the loudest 30 seconds.
• Include B sets in share files and match them to songs on the receiving computer before saving. CHECK items without their own audio inherit songs from the first-ranked B set.
• Inspect preparation states, reasons and retry controls. Songs ranked for Hypha are prepared first. Compatible Hypha versions also receive B-set ranks, Cue facts and preparation reasons. Reference and Version formats read by the published Hypha 1.1.50 remain intact.

MEASURE comparison

• Register up to four sources as A, B, C and D in MEASURE. Level matching and content-based alignment are available; when they cannot be applied, the reason and Original Level action are shown.
• Inspect comparison playback positions and states, and reopen saved comparisons. BPM estimation has been restored across existing analysis entries, and Windows comparison-history persistence has been repaired.

Collaboration

• Compare received audio with the previous Version before measuring it. Level matching starts off and can be switched on when needed.
• Add playback-position comments, record review confirmation and adopt a Version from the comparison screen. Inspect file identity and the LUFS and True Peak measurements made by the sender and receiver.
• Version names are consistent for senders and receivers. Different audio with the same name is distinguished by the sender’s name.
• Invite partner is the primary action when starting a collaboration. Enter a display name on the invite or join screen, with the previous name filled in.
• Dropbox, iCloud Drive, Google Drive My Drive and OneDrive are checked for joining. The app waits for the shared folder to sync and advances when it appears. New collaborations use locations explicitly chosen for creation.
• Received lyrics are saved as candidates while the current text is preserved. Inspect and adopt a candidate in the lyrics screen.
• New-arrival notifications and a Mac Dock badge have been added. Shared folders are also checked at startup. Senders can copy a short message to notify their partner.
• Participation links open the Kirin OS join screen. Production requests offer preview delivery for interim review and final delivery for completion.

Bundled licences

• Bundled dependency licence notices have been aligned with the current dependencies.

Collaborative updates still use an assigned turn. Take responsibility for the next update switches the turn to you.
